Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. She is known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett born in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth at New York New York, is a well-known actor. Bassett and her sister, at the age of five old, emigrated out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. Bassett when she was in high school was a fan of John Steinbeck's stage play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she made the decision to pursue acting. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut and graduated with a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a Master's Degree of African American studies in the year 1980.
